I now have a 'hack. I also have a lot of reading to do, learning the ins and outs of the DW codebase (and how to do its bidding, or convince it to do mine). I've also met a lot of really great folks so far, and expect to meet more. DW has to have the most insanely friendly dev community I've seen yet.

Thanks to all! I'm looking forward to getting up to speed and contributing.

I'm not overly gifted with focus/functionality most days, as well as lacking programming experience (some scripting and code review, a few programming classes, no formal programming at all; I skipped perl because I could manage just fine with sh/sed/awk) -- but that's actually an intriguing idea if I start recovering functionality. I had thought that I would want to get involved in open source, but the open source movement is pretty notorious about being nasty to women, so it's nice to know there's a project that isn't. I've heard good things about DW's programmer diversity from way back, in fact, I just had never thought of it as something a noob like me could contribute to.
